The tool is currently under development and testing. It has:

  • Enhanced user customisation capability;
  • Brand new, modernised user interface;
  • Fully functioning volatile disposal scenarios;
  • Easier reporting straight from the module;
  • Updated report format in line with CGiX reporting.

Further details on its release date will be available later this year.

Offshore Reporting Funds Data (ORF):

Big increase in customers:
We have seen a 60% increase in ORF customers following HMRC’s “Requirement to Correct” policy. This highlights the importance of this data and the challenges that still exist in obtaining the information.

25th Year Anniversary

The genesis of FSL and CGiX was in the front room of a small terrace house in Greenwich, South East London by a young, entrepreneurial developer called David Pirrie. At the time it was ground breaking software which he named ‘CGiX’ by compressing the words ‘CGT’ and ‘indexation’.

There was an immediate interest in the product from wealth management companies and in August 1994, Stockbroker Software Ltd (SSL) was formed to take CGiX to market. The company name was changed to Financial Software Ltd (FSL) in 1997 to more closely reflect what it did.

As we celebrate 25 years as a company our founder, David Pirrie, reflects on what shaped FSL and our product into the award winning software it is today. Look out for a more descriptive blog article on the history of FSL written by David Pirrie – coming soon.

“25 years as a leading software and service provider to the financial services industry is a truly great achievement. However, we are already looking to the future and are busily developing new products and services. This will enable us to fulfil our current and future clients’ diverse requirements, not only in the CGT space but also in other related areas.”  Ken Gillingham, Managing Director.
