Foundations Are In!

March 2015
David Spurdle, of Stand by Me, is one of those enterprising executives with old school values. The likes of which have been building the new British corporate successes. David’s drive is, however, not for commercial gain but from a strong desire to empower those in the poorest parts of the world to better themselves and their communities. He is a ‘get on with it’ executive where to make a decision is better than making no decision and the lessons learned from mistakes are as valuable as the successes.

So, in true Stand by Me style, the ground works for the Bethany School Technical department are underway. They have begun before the last penny has been raised. David’s trust in people and his extraordinary ability to read their character gives him the confidence that he needs to proceed.

There are no frills on the Bethany School technical building so the building work will be completed soon. The FSL team are now under pressure to prove their equipment specifications and get their infrastructure designs to the carpenters and electricians ready to build the desks and put in the power and network cables. The equipment needs to be signed off by the Ethiopian authorities before shipment and import.

The talking is done; it’s now time to ‘get on with it’.
