CGiX Solution
Due to the underlying securities taxation data service, CGiX is capable of accurately building the corporate event history on a portfolio of securities with only acquisition, disposal and optional event details required as a starting point.
Technical Features
As a company we are now able to boast two versions of the CGiX solution. CGiX.Net and the original Windows VB application.
Software Platforms
Our alignment with the changing dynamics of the UK Financial market, both technically and business driven, ensures that we remain ahead of our clients needs and are able to migrate them onto advanced, yet proven, technological platforms as they see fit. FSL will continue to support both software platforms as we appreciate that they are applicable to different business models, and value the scope that they provide us in approaching the market.
The functional aspects of the solutions are identical; both benefiting from the intelligent interface and seamless integration enabled with both front and back office software solutions. FSL is a Microsoft® Certified Partner and both versions of the software take advantage of the flexibility of SQL Server 2000; enabling unlimited hierarchical security and reporting levels that meet all Investment Banking standards.
Both products have matured through over 10 years of collaborative development with our client base, who as a result enjoy a rich variety of CGT business functionality that is underpinned by the solid foundation of modern software programming techniques.
CGiX.Net
CGiX.Net is well suited to the outsourcing business model, and has enabled us to become the market leader in this arena. This is by no means an exclusive application of the system, as this browser based platform can be implemented within our current client base to replace the Windows application, or for those clients wanting a system that will satisfy the demands of a distributed user base.
CGiX.Net provides remote CGT analysis with the aid of a thin front end, enabling all system upgrades to be undertaken seamlessly from one central location. The powerful java scripts utilised within the system provide users with secure, interactive interrogation and graphical analysis of clients' investment portfolios.
CGiX.net contains specialist controls that have been designed to compliment the business users' needs, and these, combined with efficient bandwidth usage create synergies with fast data processing and accurate portfolio analysis.
Windows Application
The Windows platform of the CGiX solution is well suited for clients' requiring a locally installed configuration, and as such has become the leading solution in the UK market for the large and medium size banks and investment houses.
This solution operates a client server architecture which enables powerful processing that is scalable to diverse business models across networks. Our advanced business functionality is supported by fast data processing with exception and reconciliation controls adding qualitative front office analysis.
CGiX is compatible with all Windows platforms from Windows 2000 onwards and is also Citrix compliant, which enables dial-in access to the solution for clients using this platform within the realms of our Bureau Service / Application Service Provider (ASP).
Relational Database Technology
By taking advantage of relational database technology, CGiX ensures that CGT calculations are simple, fast, and available on demand.
All legislative changes that occur can be updated immediately and the openness and connectivity of this technology gives the best possible advantages for integration and upgrading.
