CGiX Solution

Due to the underlying securities taxation data service, CGiX is capable of accurately building the corporate event history on a portfolio of securities with only acquisition, disposal and optional event details required as a starting point.

Product Description

Typically the CGiX data service is used to validate the corporate event history provided by clients, as this enables the reconciliation and adjustment of costs against all UK quoted corporate events since 1982 and a broad range of international since 1998.

The system retains the portfolio history in its administration database and can produce reports on a daily, monthly, annual or ad hoc basis. CGiX is capable of dealing with any assets liable for CGT ranging from stocks and shares to land.

This diagram demonstrates how CGiX works in relation to a client's existing Investment Management System. FSL offers an array of methods to efficiently migrate our clients' portfolios onto CGiX, all of which we skillfully support.

Step 1

Transactions are taken from a client's Investment Management System, imported into CGiX and a calculation is run.

Step 2

During the calculation, the transactions are run against FSL's Corporate Event Database which reconciles and adjusts costs against UK quoted securities since 1982 and international securities since 1998.

Step 3

The transactions are also run against FSL Legislative Database which contains UK CGT legislation since 1965. A client then has the option to view a suite of twelve different reports and access the WhatIf tool.
