CGiX is immensely flexible in its ability to migrate portfolio information from host investment management systems (IMS).
Portfolio Migration
As stated, CGiX has the capacity to build the complete history of a portfolio with only acquisition, disposal and optional event information, although this is by no means the only method of migrating data onto the system.
CGiX is also able to duplicate the exact history that a client holds in their IMS without modification. As such, CGiX aligns precisely to our clients' objectives, whether they wish to clean and amend or simply retain their historic data.
Any holding can be entered into CGiX as a take-on. All relevant registration and CGT information can be attached to the take-on for correct allocation of costs on subsequent disposal or participation in corporate events. The allocation of book costs is fully automated, shown for example when a ?Mix and Match' option is given as the apportionment factors are calculated using the market values of the resultant securities held in the corporate event database.
Client specific (bespoke) corporate event information can be entered, and the adjustment factors are automatically calculated from either sterling or foreign currency market values
