Schroders opts for Reuters
London-based Schroders Private Bank has chosen Reuters Portfolio Management System to support its private client portfolio management activities. The new facility will help manage and report on 2,500 client portfolios.
This marks the latest stage in a project aimed at upgrading Schroders investment management systems. Last year it went live with Globus, the back office system provided by Temenos. Now it has turned its attention to the front office.
"We chose Reuters because they could offer us products designed specifically to support the investment process including portfolio management tools and a link through to our back office processes," said Sally Tennant, Schroders' chief executive.
RPMS, which enables portfolio managers to track and analyse client portfolios incorporates a number of features. These include Berkley, California-based Barra's risk management tools and Financial Software CGix , a tool that provides UK capital gains calculations. It also incorporates advanced performance measurement, modeling and benchmarking functions. Over 100 firms currently use it across the UK and Europe.
