The Data
CGiX has a built-in Securities taxation and corporate event database, which is maintained and updated by FSL. CGiX uses the corporate event database during the calculation process to update the portfolios with compulsory and optional corporate events from which the relevant CGT implications are derived.
Definitions of CGT rules now extend beyond basic securities and its scope covers private individuals, companies and life funds. All tax rules are held in a relational database so they can be changed and amended as the need arises.
- FSL receive data from five different data vendors, covering global corporate events, UK Unit Trusts & OEIC’s. This includes Property Authorised Investment Funds (PAIFs) and Offshore Funds.
- March ’82 values can be elected
- FSL is continuously broadening its coverage of international capital event history
- The general rules for CGT securities are incorporated into the database
- Capital Event History for UK quoted companies since 1982 is provided
- Corporate event transaction types cover over 100 CGT specific corporate event definitions
- Only CGT solution provider to offer integrated securities taxation data service containing all tax classifications, interpretations and factors for every UK listed company and authorised unit trust
